Fall Parade: Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at 9am
Join us as we travel the always-popular Chestermere Community Fall Parade starting from the Chestermere Family Bike Park to the Chestermere Rec Centre, and meet your fellow skaters. This year's theme is the 80's!
Energizer Night: Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 at 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Learn about our club and program offerings at this community event!
Boot Breaker: Sunday, September 15th, 2024 at 12pm to 4pm
Includes goal setting and nutrition workshop, on-ice and off-ice. Meet our new and returning StarSkaters and set up goals for the upcoming year. Free for all StarSkate and PreStarSkate (Star Group) program registrants!

Program Assistant Training: Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 at 3pm to 6pm
For StarSkaters to learn the roles and responsibilities of a PA, and gain the skills and information they need to assist the coaches on the ice during PreCanSkate and CanSkate sessions. For all StarSkate and PreStarSkate (Star Group) skaters who are 10 years of age or older.
PreCanSkate and CanSkate Sessions
PreCanSkate class is designed for skaters 3 to 5 years old that have never skated before or have not passed PreCanSkate.
CanSkate Level 1-6 class is designed for skaters 3-5 years of age that have passed PreCanSkate or are 6 years of age or older and have never skated before or have limited skating experience. Skaters will be grouped within their badge level achievement or skating experience and skill.

Hockey/ Ringette Skating Skills Sessions

Hockey/ Ringette Skating Skills Level 1-6 is designed for skaters 6 years of age or older that are interested in hockey or ringette. It is geared to skaters who already have basic forward and backward skating skills (they MUST be able to skate the length of the rink using alternate strides) and are able to stop on command without use of the boards.
PreStarSkate (StarSkate Group) & StarSkate Sessions
PreStarSkate (StarSkate Group) and StarSkate classes are designed for skaters that have completed CanSkate Level 5 or have been invited to join the program by our Director of Skating.
Dryland Training is mandatory for all PreStarSkaters and StarSkaters. Purchase of the training package works like a membership. It is valid for the full Fall and Winter seson. StarSkaters are welcome and encouraged to attend all days even if not skating on that day, but can join in on whichever day works the best in their schedule.

On-Ice Training: StarSkaters are encouraged to register for as many days as needed to fulfil their goals. Refer to Skate Canada Long Term Athlete Development Plan (LTADP) on a recommended number of skating hours per week and per year, or contact our Director of Skating at coaching@iceedgeskatingclub.com for guidance. Once you choose the day(s), the registration is for the entire Fall and Winter season.
