REGISTRATION FOR WINTER 2026 LEARN-TO-SKATE PROGRAMS OPEN!

Winter may be chilly, but it’s the perfect season to get your skater on the ice! Whether your child is taking their first strides or building confidence for hockey or ringette, our SkateCanada sanctioned programs offer a fun and supportive environment for all ages and abilities.

PreCanSkate (ages 3–5)

Thursdays

  • 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM (Jan 15 – Mar 19; 10 × 30-min classes)

  • 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM (Jan 15 – Mar 19; 10 × 30-min classes)

Sundays

  • 3:15 PM – 3:45 PM (Jan 11 – Mar 22; 10 × 30-min classes; no class Feb 15)

  • 3:45 PM – 4:15 PM (Jan 11 – Mar 22; 10 × 30-min classes; no class Feb 15)

  • 4:15 PM – 4:45 PM (Jan 11 – Mar 22; 10 × 30-min classes; no class Feb 15)

CanSkate (ages 5+)

Thursdays

  • 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM (Jan 15 – Mar 19; 10 × 60-min classes)

Sundays

  • 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM (Jan 11 – Mar 22; 10 × 45-min classes; no class Feb 15)

  • 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM (Jan 11 – Mar 22; 10 × 45-min classes; no class Feb 15)

Please note:

  1. All skaters must be registered with Skate Canada prior to taking to the ice. The annual membership fee for the 2025–2026 season is expected to be $61.65. Membership and insurance are valid from September 1 to August 31, and will be automatically applied for Winter registration if not already paid.
  2. Participants must also have an active CRCA (Chestermere Recreation Community Association) membership.
    Memberships (valid July 1 – June 30) can be purchased at:

    Individual membership: $64
    Family membership: $92.50 + GST
    Each family member receives a unique membership number. Please update or provide your CRCA number at registration. CRCA membership benefits include free public skating, shinny hockey times, discounts on recreation programs, and room rentals.
  3. If registering after the session has begun, program fees will be pro-rated based on the number of classes remaining.
